Recommended installation

We at Forbikes provide you with some instructions below for correctly installing the film on the tank:

• Thoroughly clean the tank surface using an isopropyl cleaner or suitable degreaser. Avoid alcohol, lighter fluid, or turpentine, which leave greasy residues that compromise adhesion.
• Fill the spray bottle with water; the small amount of internal lubricant will create the ideal solution for assembly.
• Spray the solution generously on the surface to be protected and on the adhesive side of the film, to facilitate positioning and reduce the risk of fingerprints.
• Place the film in sections (half the tank at a time). Use the squeegee to expel air and liquid from the center outward. Spray the outside of the film as well to facilitate the squeegee.
• For curved surfaces: Apply gentle tension to guide the film in the direction of the curvature and continue to expel air bubbles and liquid until a uniform finish is achieved.
• If you need to reposition the film during application, lift it partially and spray the solution again on both the surface and the adhesive. If there are any creases, work toward one edge using a squeegee or wet thumb.
• Dry any residual liquid with a paper towel and finally use a hair dryer or hot air gun up to a maximum of 80°C to stabilize the film's adhesion.
