• Clean the surface thoroughly using an isopropyl cleaner or suitable degreaser. Avoid denatured alcohol, lighter fluid, or turpentine, which leave greasy residues that compromise adhesion.
• Prepare the spray bottle with water: the small amount of residual lubricant will ensure a suitable solution for assembly.
• Spray the solution generously on the surface to be protected and on the adhesive side of the film: this makes positioning easier and avoids fingerprints.
• Place the film, working half the surface at a time; use the squeegee to expel air and liquid from the center outward. Spray the top of the film as well to facilitate sliding.
• On curved surfaces, apply gentle tension to allow the film to adhere perfectly. Continue pushing out any air bubbles until a uniform finish is achieved.
• If you need to reposition the film, lift it partially and spray the solution again on the surface and adhesive. If there are any creases, spread it with a spatula or wet finger.
• Dry off any excess liquid and finally use a hair dryer or heat gun (< 80°C) to stabilize the adhesion and secure the film.
